Susan Dwyer Amussen and Darren Freebury-Jones on Shakespeare
Join historian Susan Dwyer Amussen and scholar Darren Freebury-Jones for an evening exploring the communal world of early modern drama and the compelling evidence that confirms Shakespeare's authorship.
Susan, author of What's in a Name? How Historians Know Shakespeare Was Shakespeare, and Darren, author of Shakespeare's Borrowed Feathers, will discuss their works and offer fresh insights into Shakespeare's artistic development.
Together, Susan and Darren will share the collaborative world of early modern theatre, the social transformations that made Shakespeare possible, and what textual analysis and historical evidence reveal about the playwright who continues to captivate us four centuries later.

The event will initially be broadcast on 17 April at 6.30pm UK time. It will be available to view up to two weeks after the event has ended and can be accessed Worldwide. If you live in a time zone that does not suit the initial broadcast time you can watch it at any point after the initial showing for two weeks.
