Join birder, environmentalist and diversity activist Mya-Rose Craig as she celebrates the paperback publication of her book Birdgirl: A Young Environmentalist Looks to the Skies in Search of a Better Future.

Birdgirl is a life-affirming and lyrical memoir about family, journeying across our beautiful planet, and discovering a voice. Since Mya-Rose was a baby, she has visited every continent to pursue her passion of searching for rare birds and astonishing landscapes. Every single bird is a treasure, each sighting a collective moment of joy and stillness amidst her mother’s deepening mental health crisis.

On these journeys, Mya-Rose has seen first-hand the carelessness, inequality and destruction we are inflicting on our fragile planet. Through the simple, mindful act of looking for birds, she has become ever-more determined to campaign for all our survival. Mya-Rose will be joined by activist, author, model and film director Lily Cole for an expansive and challenging conversation urging us all to lift our eyes away from our lives and up to the skies.
